Multimodal Creative Project

Explanation

For my first piece I chose to make was a brochure. I did it in a way that I maintain the same purpose and audience. I made it like a medical brochure so that it was informative and professional; essentially highlighted what marijuana is, what it can do to teenagers, and lastly what you as a parent can do to minimize the issue. Since the piece is just a brochure, I wanted to put simple information that someone could just pick up and read while keeping that professional integrity. I wanted to also make it intriguing to read. I put pictures of the scenarios I’m explaining to make it easier to understand. My style for the brochure is clean and looks professional. It exactly mirrors my discovery essay regarding the rhetorical standpoint. For my next piece, I decided to make a presentation. I wanted it to have the information as compressed as possible. So, I decided to make bullet points. The idea of the points is chosen directly from my discovery essay. They are clear and concise, which I like since It’s a presentation and you want to be able to read and understand it quickly. The use of visual aid in this PowerPoint allows the audience to follow along effectively. The pictures really reinforce my statement by showing the audience clear examples of what happens to the brain of a teenager when they smoke. The pictures in the presentation along with the bullet points of detailed information also mirror my discovery essay regarding a rhetorical standpoint.
